Toolbox - Child Protection Training Details Child Protection Training - Facing the Unthinkable (New dvd from the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service) Part 1 of the dvd looks at what is abuse with the history of child abuse, definitions of child abuse. Part 2 of the dvd looks at the the effects of abuse, with the signs and symptoms of child abuse. Part 3 of the dvd looks at taking action, what you should do if you suspect child abuse, how to respond to children, confidentiality, the role of social services & the police and role play exercises. Part 4 of the dvd looks at how we can develop a safe environment. All training events are open to anyone, including other church youth & children's leaders. No cost is made for each event. All Meadow Way Chapel youth & children's leaders including all Toddler group and creche helpers are expected to attend within six months of starting. Programme below if run on three evenings:
