PDL (Purpose driven Life) Ministry write ups for Sonrise Got Life? Get Ministry! Name of Ministry: Sonrise Contact Name: Claire Gunn What is the purpose of your ministry? To provide a week away for our young people free from the pressures of daily life where they can have the opportunity to experience God in a deeper way through the teaching, music and prayer. We also like to discuss social issues and to give a Christian perspective on them. What is involved for those wishing to be part of this ministry? Attending planning meetings prior to the camp. Preparation for activities at camp. Being involved  in as many of the activities at Sonrise as you feel you can, from leading meetings to art and craft activities and games on the field. To just be there for the young people to show that they are cared for. Being a prayer partner for one of the leaders or a prayer supporter of the camp. How much of a time commitment is involved? Approximately 6 evening meetings between March and July. Any meetings called for the sun groups you are in (e.g. teaching group). Preparation for small group work or any activities you are involved in. One week of Sonrise camp. One feed back meeting after camp. Sonrise reunion in October or November time (Saturday afternoon and evening). When and where does the ministry take place? Meetings usually take place at the home of Alistair and Claire. Sonrise takes place at Old Buckenham High School from Saturday lunchtime to Friday teatime, normally in the first week in August. The reunion takes place at Meadow Way Chapel, but may also involve an outside activity like ten pin bowling. Do you need help with your ministry at this time? Yes
