PDL (Purpose driven Life) Ministry write ups for Child Protection Got Life? Get Ministry! Name of Ministry: Child Protection Contact Name: George Herbert What is the purpose of your ministry? To listen to and value children and young people whilst encouraging their protection within church activities. Encouraging and supporting parents/carers. Ensure children's and youth workers are given support and training. Having a system for dealing with concerns about possible abuse. Maintain good links with the statutory child care authorities.  What is involved for those wishing to be part of this ministry? Internal child protection forms to be completed. Two references obtained. Child Protection interview to be completed. CRB (criminal reports bureau) child protection form to be completed. In-house child protection training attended. Follow child protection procedures. Note! This is compulsory for all youth & children's workers. How much of a time commitment is involved? Time to fill in two sets of forms. 3 to 4 hour training course (Weeknight evening or Saturday morning). When and where does the ministry take place? Weeknight evening or Saturday morning. Either in church lounge or at someone's home. Do you need help with your ministry at this time? Yes
